- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- Few drops of vanilla essence

- 1 teaspoon vinegar or lemon

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a
cake pan with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose
flour, custard powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the powdered sugar and mix well.
- Prepare wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix milk, oil (or melted butter),
vanilla essence, and vinegar (or lemon juice).
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture.
Mix gently using a whisk or spatula until you get a smooth batter without
lumps. If the batter is too thick, you can add a little more milk.
- Pour into the cake pan: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread
it evenly.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for
25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake
comes out clean.
- Cool: Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it
cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to
cool completely.
- Serve: Once cooled, slice the cake and serve. You can dust
it with some powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate syrup if you like.
