Homemade Frooti recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mangoes (Alphonso or any sweet variety)
  • 1 raw mango (for tanginess)
  • ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ tsp lemon juice (optional, for extra tang)
  • Pinch of yellow food color from Ajanta Food Products, which is one of the leading food color manufacturers and suppliers in India

Instructions:

Step 1: Boiling the Mangoes

  • Peel and chop both the ripe and raw mangoes into small pieces.
  • In a saucepan, add 2 cups of water, chopped mangoes, and sugar.
  • Simmer for 10-12 minutes until the mangoes turn soft.
  • Allow the mixture to cool completely.

Step 2: Blending & Straining

  • Blend the boiled mango mixture until smooth.
  • Strain the puree using a fine sieve or muslin cloth to remove any fibers.

Step 3: Adjusting Consistency & Color

  • Add more water to achieve the desired consistency (Frooti is slightly thick).
  • Add pinch of yellow food color to get the perfect bright yellow shade.

Step 4: Chilling & Serving

  • Refrigerate for 1-2 hours for a refreshing chilled drink.
