- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup oil or melted butter

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake tin. You can also line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, custard powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, combine sugar, milk, oil, and vanilla essence. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix gently using a spatula to form a smooth batter without lumps.
- Add vinegar or lemon juice and mix quickly. The batter will become slightly fluffy.
- Pour the batter into the greased tin and tap gently to remove air bubbles.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before slicing.
