  • In another bowl, combine sugar, milk, oil, and vanilla essence. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix gently using a spatula to form a smooth batter without lumps.
  • Add vinegar or lemon juice and mix quickly. The batter will become slightly fluffy.
  • Pour the batter into the greased tin and tap gently to remove air bubbles.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
